START A TRAINING GROUP

Don't have any Silat near you but want to train? Want to start training but don't have any training partners? Start an official training group and get started today! We have an extensive library of online training that can get you started and Guru Derek will help you get to in person training and building a group of like minded training partners to help you all build the Silat skills you need to be effective on the street!

Join our Online Training course and get some experience under your belt. This way you can work with Guru Derek directly and we can decide when is a good time to start bringing new people in to train in your group. We want to make sure you are able to lead the group. All students in our groups are equal until rank is acquired so no need to worry about not being an instructor. The training group allows you all to train under Guru Derek's guidance until you get to testing and can have a full instructor in the group. Don't want to become a teacher? You can lead a group and get training partners to have someone to train with, just speak to Guru Derek and we can earn rank for those that are interested or just be a place to learn some Silat and have fun training while staying safe and having a Guru to watch over your progress. Once you are granted permission to take on group members you will be given access to our special pricing for group leaders, along with your training partners.

No. A group leader is someone who provides a location to train, access to Guru Derek and coordinates times and sessions to get everyone training consistently. This can lead to being an instructor or starting a school but starting a group is not getting rank. That is earned the hard way.
